James Duddridge MP was invited to meet staff and residents at a Shoeburyness care home as part of Care Home Open Week.
The MP for Rochford and Southend East, visited Kathryn Court on Ness Road on Friday to meet residents and thank their carers for the work they do.
Care Home Open Week is an annual week-long celebration of the care community.
During his visit, James was given a tour by Donna, Kathryn Court’s manager, and was shown the care on offer at the home and watched a variety of activities – including a music-infused exercise class.
Commenting after the visit, James said:
“I’d like to thank Donna and her team for inviting me to Kathryn Court to see first-hand the tremendous work they do.
“Care Home Open Week is an opportunity for us to thank our care workers and acknowledge the fantastic role that care homes play in our local community.”
