James Duddridge MP met with the founder of a local charity that supports families from overseas to integrate into their local community.
The Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East was updated on the work of Welcome to the UK by Ilda Stafa on Friday (11th March).
The charity describes itself as helping those from overseas to "settle in with dignity and courage".
Welcome to the UK, based inside the Victoria Shopping Centres, provides free weekly English classes, educational sessions, friendship groups and community events.
James said:
"I'd like to thank Ilda and the Welcome to the UK team for updating me on their good work, including inviting vaccine experts from the NHS to talk about why getting the Covid jab is so important."
