James Duddridge MP has met with a group of residents objecting to plans to cover large parts of Thorpe Bay in speed bumps.
The Member of Parliament sat down with the group on Friday afternoon (4th February 2022).
James, who also objects to the proposals, agreed to raise his concerns with the Transport Secretary and the Chief Executive of Southend Borough Council.
"I was pleased to sit down with residents who organised a large community event to raise awareness, and are part of the 750+ residents who have now signed an e-petition against the proposals.
"The measures being proposed ill-thought-through, residents have not been properly consulted, and they will cost the taxpayer a fortune!"
