James Duddridge MP has completed the virtual London Marathon for Southend's homeless charity HARP.
Despite the gruelling weather conditions, the Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East finished the 26.2-mile run in six hours, 40 minutes and 11 seconds and has raised more than £1,360 for the local charity so far.
James' run began in the pouring rain of Southchurch Park at around 8am on Sunday, 4th October.
He passed many of Southend's famous landmarks, including the World's Longest Pleasure Pier and Adventure Island.
At Mile 16, he stopped to refuel (and warm up) with a bacon sarnie.
The virtual London Marathon allowed thousands of participants to take part in the annual event remotely, due to the ongoing situation with Covid-19.
