With the festive season drawing to a close, James Duddridge MP is encouraging residents in Rochford and Southend East to enter the recycling spirit.
Every year, tens of thousands of Christmas cards are sent across the UK, and after gratefully receiving a number himself, James will now ensure they're recycled appropriately.
The MP for Rochford and Southend East said:
"As the decorations come down, I hope residents will join me in disposing of items such as Christmas cards responsibly so we can reduce landfill waste and do our bit to help the environment."
Southend residents looking to dispose of their "real" Christmas trees can also book a free collection between 7th and 17th January by calling Veolia on 0203 567 6955.
