As the UK prepares to leave the European Union on 31st October, James Duddridge MP is encouraging businesses and residents in Rochford and Southend to get ready for Brexit.
The message comes as the UK Government launched a new campaign to help organisations and families to prepare for Britain's departure from the bloc next month.
People and businesses can check what, if anything, they need to do to be ready for Brexit by visiting gov.uk/Brexit.
The website prompts users to fill in a questionnaire who are then given results which suggests how best to start preparing.
During his first parliamentary questions as a Minister at the Department for Exiting the EU on Thursday (5th September), James told the Commons that the tool was a "practical, step-by-step guide".
And he's encouraging local businesses and residents here in Rochford and Southend East to check the website too.
James said:
"To ensure an orderly Brexit next month, it's important we all do our bit to prepare and it's great to see these adverts appearing locally in the Southend Echo.
"For many people they won't need to do anything, but I encourage everyone to visit gov.uk/Brexit to make sure they are ready for Brexit on 31st October."
