Small shopkeepers in Rochford and Southend East are being urged by James Duddridge MP to enter the Best Small Shops Competition.
This competition provides the opportunity for businesses to highlight their creativity and innovation in addition to recognising the essential role small shops play in our community.
Shopkeepers can nominate themselves online via www.bestsmallshops.co.uk.
Not only is the competition free and open to any small shop operating within the UK but all shops who enter will be promoted to consumers online through the Indie Retail Directory.
The panel of judges who shortlist the applications will be made up of knowledgeable representatives from across the independent retail industry.
If you can substantiate to the judges that your small shop has a flair for originality and that you continually benefit your local community then you could be shortlisted.
The shortlist of 25 will then be invited to meet their Member of Parliament at a Parliamentary Reception on the 5th of November in which the Best Small Shop of 2019 will be awarded.
James Duddridge MP said:
"We are blessed to have many small shops in Rochford and Southend and would urge all of them to take advantage this fab opportunity."
Entries are officially open and accepted via the website www.bestsmallshops.co.uk and close on Monday 9th September 2019.
