Jacob Rees-Mogg urged Conservative members in Essex to back Boris Johnson in the race to be next Prime Minister as he joined fellow Tory MPs James Duddridge, Sir David Amess and Mark Francois at a rally in Southend.
Peter Bone MP and Tom Pursglove MP also spoke at the well-attended event, held at Iveagh Hall, Leigh-on-Sea, on Thursday (4th July).
It was a chance for members from across south Essex to hear why they should support Boris Johnson in the ongoing leadership election and ask questions to the panel too.
Conservative members have until 22nd July 2019 to vote for who they want to be party's next leader and Prime Minister.
Speaking afterwards, James Duddridge, MP for Rochford and Southend East, said:
"It was a great turn out for the Back Boris rally in Southend. I'd like to thank everybody who came and showed their support for Boris Johnson.
"Boris is the man who can deliver Brexit. He is the man who can unite our country so that we can move on and focus on the other important issues that make voters' lives better."
