James Duddridge Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, is participating in the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme to gain first-hand experience on the role that the military serve.
During the scheme Members of Parliament take part in a number of military activities including sharpshooting and discussions on military strategy and tactics with the force of their choice. As a part of his experience James has chosen to join the British Army’s Parliamentary Scheme in order to better understand what it it like to be a soldier in the United Kingdom.
James said,
“The opportunity to gain first-hand experience on what it means to be a British soldier in the 21st century and I am excited to learn more about what they do in order to keep us safe.”
