James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, invites the Foreign Secretary to visit Southend Airport.
At a recent meeting in Parliament James extended an invitation to Boris Johnson MP, Foreign Secretary to visit Southend Airport. Not only did James invite Boris to the airport, he suggested that he uses the airport for an overseas ministerial visit.
James said
“Boris Johnson and I have had a number of conversations over the years about regional airports and I have always spoken extremely highly of our local airport. I invited him to visit and travel from the airport. I know that staff at London Southend Airport would be only too delighted to showcase our fantastic airport, and the services provided, to the Foreign Secretary. I have no doubt that once Boris has travelled from Southend he won’t want to use another airport again!”
