James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, is seeking nominations from constituents for the Parliamentary Pub Chef Award 2016.
This year sees the inaugural Parliamentary Pub Chef and Young Pub Chef of the Year award that the All Party Parliamentary Beer Group and the British Beer and Pub Association are launching in association with Nestle Professional.
James is asking local residents to submit nominations for a pub in the constituency that they have visited and enjoyed excellent food. The pub with the most nominations will then be entered into the full judging process and the final award will be presented in the House of Commons early next year.
James said
“I am asking the local community to nominate a chef that serves excellent cuisine in a local pub. Who better to determine who should be nominated than the customers who dine and enjoy their cuisine? Food served in pubs isn’t just burgers and chips or sandwiches and crisps and I would like nominations from residents who have thoroughly enjoyed a pub meal and feel the chef should be recognised for their work.
Nominations need to be made via email to me at [email protected] and the deadline is Wednesday 11th November at 5.30pm”
