Figures released today by the Office of National Statistics state that the total number of Jobseeker's Allowance claimants in Rochford and Southend East in January 2015 was 1,793. This represents a rate of 3.7% of the economically active population aged 16 to 64. The number of claimants is 994 lower than in January 2014.
