James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, urges constituents to submit nominations for The British Red Cross Humanitarian Citizen Award 2014.
Each year The British Red Cross runs the Humanitarian Citizen Award and the scheme is open to anyone aged 25 or under. The award celebrates the achievement of young people in one of four categories. The categories are first aid, volunteering, community action and fundraising.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the awards and to mark this memorable occasion the ceremony is being held in the House of Commons on the 18th November. All nominees receive a certificate celebrating their nomination and recognising their achievements.
James said
“The Humanitarian Citizen Award is a fantastic way to recognise the achievements of young people. To mark the 10 year anniversary of the award, this year’s presentation will take place in Parliament which will also be a fantastic experience for those that attend. Nominations need to be submitted before the 27th July. Good luck to all nominees!”
