Sir James Duddridge KCMG, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, backs Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean campaign and encourages residents and businesses to do their bit for our local environment.
This year’s mass campaign, from 17th March to 2nd April, brings together individuals, community organisations, businesses and councils to make a difference to the environment on our doorstep.
The Great British Spring Clean, now in its eighth year, saw people up and down the country come together last year to clean up nearly half a million bags of litter. Residents can pledge to pick up a bag or more of litter on Keep Britain Tidy’s website.
Commenting, Sir James said:
“The Great British Spring Clean is a fantastic opportunity to unite as a community to take pride in our area.
“By pledging to pick up a bag, we can help make a huge difference in creating a cleaner environment across Southend and Rochford!”
