James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, has received confirmation that Southend Driving Test Centre has had the number of examiners increased.
James was aware that there was extensive waiting times to secure a driving test in Southend. As a result, James wrote to Mike Penning MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Transport to request that another examiner be appointed. James has today received written confirmation that as of 28th September, three examiners are available on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. The additional tests are available until the end of November, if the demand remains high then this will be extended through to the New Year.
James said, “I am delighted to have received confirmation that there will be more examiners appointed at Southend Driving Test Centre. The entire campaign has been a huge success from securing the test centre to now increasing the supply of tests to meet the demand.”
