Local children are being encouraged to help honour their Covid-19 heroes by designing one of eight special Royal Mail stamps.
The nationwide competition is being backed by James Duddridge MP.
It's open to children aged four to fourteen, and, as with all new stamps issued by Royal Mail, the winning designs will be sent to Her Majesty the Queen for approval.
This is only the fifth time that Royal Mail has held a competition like this, and the first time for non-Christmas stamps.
Commenting, James said:
"We all know somebody who has gone the extra mile during this pandemic, and this is a wonderful chance for local children to pay tribute to their Covid-19 heroes.
"As well as NHS staff, children may want to illustrate volunteers in our community, their teachers, supermarket workers, or even the scientists who created the vaccines - it is entirely their choice and I would encourage local children to get involved in this exciting competition."
A special panel of judges will determine the eight winning designs from 120 regional finalists.
