James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, has welcomed students from St Nicholas School and Southend High School for Girls to the House of Commons. The Education Service run a year-round programme of visits for students aged 7-18 to visit Parliament.
The visit begins with a tour of the Palace of Westminster learning how Parliament works, depending on the time of the visit, you may be able to access the debating chamber and public viewing gallery. Following the tour, pupils will be able to take part in a choice of interactive workshops and will include a question and answer session with James, Parliamentary commitments permitting.
