James Duddridge, MP for Rochford and Southend East, has welcomed news that three good causes in the constituency have received a welcome funding boost thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
ActiveSouthend, Southend Vineyard Storehouse and South East Essex Advocacy for Older People were recently awarded £1,800, £3,000 and £10,000 respectively from the lottery’s community programmes trusts, a series of three grant giving charities funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. The funding will enable the organisations to run fantastic projects in Rochford and Southend East.
James said,
“I’m pleased to hear that a number of charitable organisations in my constituency have been successful in securing funds. My thanks must go to players of People’s Postcode Lottery as these awards will make a real difference to the local communities in Rochford and Southend East.”
Since the beginning of the year, over £3.3milllion has been distributed to over 350 grassroots projects operating across Great Britain through People’s Postcode Lottery’s three community programmes trusts’ which are; Postcode Local Trust, Postcode Community Trust and People’s Postcode Trust.
