A new outdoor gym was officially opened on Shoebury Common North on Monday by the Mayor of Southend.
James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, was on hand to try out the new equipment.
The free-to-use outdoor suite has a range of exercise facilities, suitable for all levels of fitness.
Commenting, James said:
"It's brilliant to see that this outdoor gym is now officially open, and I congratulate everybody who has been involved with this project to transform Shoebury Common North, including the Shoebury Coastal Community Team.
"This facility will help make exercise accessible for everyone, and I would encourage local people to come down and try it out!"
