James Duddridge MP has thanked local posties for their hard work during a visit to the Royal Mail’s sorting office in Southend.
The Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East visited the mail centre in Short Street on Wednesday morning (22nd December).
He was shown around the large handling facility where he was able to chat and thank posties who have continued to operate despite the challenges of Covid.
The MP also handed over a bottle of House of Commons Whisky for the Royal Mail’s charity raffle.
Following the visit, James said:
“Our local posties have once again worked incredibly hard this year.
“That’s why I wanted to take the opportunity to visit the sorting office in Short Street this morning, and say thank you to them on behalf of our community, as well as wish all Royal Mail staff a Merry Christmas!”
