James Duddridge local Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, has received reassurances from Go Ahead London that disabled passengers are able to use their bus passes on the number 68 bus.
After a number of constituents raised concerns with James that disabled passengers using the number 68 open-top bus (which returned to Southend-on-Sea this summer) were unable to use their bus James became concerned. He therefore contacted Go Ahead London, the company responsible for the running of the bus, seeking reassurances. Go Ahead London then confirm that in fact disabled passengers will be able to use their disabled person’s bus pass on the service.
James said,
“I am relieved to learn that disabled people who live and visit our town are able to enjoy the number 68 bus with their bus pass. I am sure that this route will provide a number of great memories of Southend and I am pleased that it can be enjoyed by everyone.”
Mrs Stoneman who came to James asking for help on the issues said,
“I would like to thank James for getting the reassurance that disabled people can use their bus pass on the number 68 route. I am sure my son and his friends will make a numer of great memories in Southend on this bus."
