James Duddridge will join a record number of MPs and Peers at the start line of the London Marathon on Sunday.
The Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East has been raising vital funds and awares for Southend Samaritans and The Rose Paterson Trust.
It is the third time he has taken on the 26.2-mile run, having raised more than £4,000 for Havens Hospices and Southend’s homeless charity HARP in previous years.
James will join 21 other MPs and two Peers who are also taking on the marathon.
The previous record of running MPs was 17 in 2018.
This year sees 17 Conservatives, five Labour and two SNP representatives running.
