James Duddridge MP has held constructive Brexit talks with the Polish Ambassador.
The Brexit Minister and MP for Rochford and Southend East sat down with Arkady Rzegocki in London on Tuesday.
The pair discussed the importance of guaranteeing the rights of both EU citizens in the UK and UK citizens in the EU after Brexit.
Accrording to official figures, there are more than 1,800 Poles living in Rochford and Southend East, making up 1.2 per cent of the constituency’s population.
Following the meeting, Mr Rzegocki tweeted:
“Great meeting with @DExEUgov Minister @JamesDuddridge, during which we spoke about the importance of guaranteeing the rights of EU citizens living in the UK after #Brexit.”
James added:
“It was a pleasure to sit down with the Polish Ambassador on Tuesday to reaffirm our commitment to guaranteeing the rights of UK citizens living in Poland and Polish nationals living in the UK after Brexit.”
