James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East is urging residents to vote for local community projects in the Aviva Community Fund.
This year’s Fund will finance over 500 good causes around the UK, with awards ranging from under £1,000 up to £25,000. Aviva will fund the top-voted entries asking for up to £1,000. The most popular entries in the £5,000, £10,000 and £25,000 funding categories will go through to a judging panel.
Some local projects that are bidding for money include Hamstel Junior School's Alfresco Childrens Eating Area, Friars Prmary School and Nursery's outdoor play area, Age Concern Southend, and Lights, Music, Action by the Footprint Community Group in Rochford.
James said,
"There are a number of projects all over Rochford and Southend that deserve to receive support from this fund and the only way this can happen is if people vote for them."
"I therefore urge residents of Rochford and Southend to help these community projects by voting for them online."
