James Duddridge, MP for Rochford and Southend East welcomes the news that Hive Enterprise Centre in Southend is offering an exclusive deal for those businesses which have been affected by the selling of land to the college which has left them with no office space.
The building previously owned by Dragon Enterprise was used by over 50 businesses. The businesses were aware of the situation however were told it was a problem of the future however they have been dealt with a shock four week notice period.
Those businesses will be affected on various levels with some suffering a large dent to their business. In response to this news The Hive Enterprise Centre, located on Victoria Avenue in Southend has offered a ‘Buy One Month Get One Free Deal’ on permanent desk space.
The Hive Enterprise Centre is happy for businesses to use their space as a transitionary office before moving somewhere more suitable, or if Hive might be a suitable permanent location they would be happy to welcome new business. The Hive Enterprise Centre is a business growth hub in the heart of Southend offering flexible license agreements.
James said:
“It is a difficult situation that these businesses are in, having to find somewhere to trade in such a short amount of time is a large pressure for any business.
What will be a great benefit to the college in the future has unfortunately hit these businesses in the immediate term. I would like to help the businesses in any way I can as it is important to support those with entrepreneurial spirit and I would not like to see any business badly damaged due to this deal.
The Hive Enterprise Centre is a great space above the Beecroft Art Gallery which has at its core desire to help businesses succeed and grow. I am sure this space could be of use to those affected businesses. Being so close to the train stations and Southend High Street is of real benefit and I would warmly welcome any new business to the area.
This is a great offer which will hopefully help the difficult transition or perhaps offer a new chapter for these businesses.”
