James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, praises Veolia for their community funding scheme. Veolia Environmental Trust uses Landfill Tax Credits to fund projects in local communities.
Projects that have benefit locally include St Luke’s Church Centre. Earlier this year Veolia awarded the centre £15,700 towards a project for disabled access improvements. This project aims to help those in need and will continue to protect and improve the lives of disabled people in Southend.
James said
“The Veolia Environmental Trust is a great initiative that funds local community projects and I encourage more projects in Southend to apply for funding.
The maximum grant that is available is £75,000. Any local projects that help deprived areas, use volunteers and involve the community should apply on the website at veoliatrust.org”
