James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, is encouraging Southend based groups and charities to apply for grants from The Southend Fund. There is less than 2 weeks to go until the deadline for applications.
The Southend Community Fund’s mission is to further assist those who, with their skills, compassion and enthusiasm make Southend a terrific place in which to live whatever the circumstances.
The Fund is innovative and provides a targeted focus on our local community, whilst seeking to support the broadest spectrum of activity. Volunteers from local businesses and organisations join local residents to raise funds and award grants and it is managed by the Essex Community Foundation.
The only criteria for grant applications are that your organisation must be active in Southend and your work must benefit people living and working in the Borough. More specific information on the fund is available on their website: http://www.thesouthendfund.org.uk/
To apply for a grant contact the Essex Community Foundation by phoning 01245 355947 or emailing [email protected].
James said “The Southend Fund is a fantastic organisation which has offered financial assistance to many local charities and groups within Southend over the years. They may be able to help your organisation, community group or club with funding to make the work you do easier, and your services and facilities even better. Go ahead and apply!”
