James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, is encouraging community projects to apply for funding from the SITA Trust. SITA Trust is a funding organisation dedicated to making lasting improvements to the natural environment and community life. The Trust is a not-for-profit company which is a registered and accredited environmental body through the Landfill Communities Fund.
SITA Trust began its funding programmes in 1997 and since then the Trust has supported more than 3,700 projects to a combined value of more than £105m. SITA Trust distributes funds contributed by the recycling and resource management company SITA UK.

“SITA Trust has supported many projects which enhance community amenities including play areas, sports facilities, community centres and venues. SITA Trust is a great organisation providing help for community projects and I urge local groups to apply for funding which could improve facilities or to create further opportunities for local residents.
