James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, raises awareness that constituents can apply for Heritage Lottery Fund money to explore the stories of the First World War.
The fund has made an additional £4 million available for communities looking to explore, conserve and share local heritage of the First World War. Grants are available between £3,000 and £10,000.
There are now 1,520 First World War projects taking place across the UK, thanks to more than £77 million of investment from the fund.
James said
“These projects and stories have been inspirational. It’s so important that we remember our heritage and the impact of the war one hundred years on. I urge everyone in Rochford and Southend East with an idea for a project to apply for funding from the Heritage Lottery funding. To apply for funding, visit www.hfl.org.uk/FirstWorldWar.”
