James Duddridge Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East and Roger Hadley are celebrating campaign success for the residents of Shoebury Garrison.
James said
“Roger Hadley spoke to me last year regarding Shoebury Garrison being without a post box. A number of residents had raised this issue, as the nearest post box is up to a mile away and we felt that this wasn’t acceptable.
Roger and I visited residents of the Garrison and circulated a petition which gained a lot of support locally. The petition asked Royal Mail to provide a post box on the Garrison. I have been in ongoing discussions with Royal Mail and, after a hard fought campaign, I am delighted to confirm that a post box will now be coming to the Shoebury Garrison.
I am delighted that the Royal Mail have agreed to install the post box. This is a big win for local democracy and for the local team.”
