- The sea defence is planned to be approximately 6ft in height, so an additional 3ft in height than the wall is currently. It would be built on the back of the promenade.

- CoMmon objections are that there is no need for a defence and it would be a waste of money, and that the wall will ruin the look of Shoebury Common.
