James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, praises Southend Driving Test Centre as he receives confirmation from the Minister that the number of tests taken at the local centre have steadily increased since it opened in 20012.
James asked the Secretary of State for Transport how many driving tests have been taken since it opened and how many of those tests resulted in a pass.
James has received confirmation that the number of tests has increased year on year since 2012 and between April 2016 to December 2016 over five thousand tests were taken and 43.5% of tests taken resulted in a pass.
James said
“I campaigned against the closure of the Southend Test Centre and was extremely disappointed when the closure went ahead however I am delighted that my campaign to bring back a test centre to Southend was a success and the numbers of tests being taken is testament to that. I am pleased that Southend has a successful test centre and I am committed to ensure that the test center continues to go from strength to strength.”
