James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, today visited Dolphin Court in Southend.
Dolphin Court Residential Care Home provides residential care for people with physical disabilties. There are 16 residents who live semi-independently with a full support team ready to help when needed. The purpose of Dolphin Court is to help people with physical disabilities to live by themselves, to learn to support themselves and lead as autonomous lives as possible.
James said
""The staff and residents of Dolphin Court were extremly friendly and inviting during my visit. I was able to take the opportunity to speak to the residents and obtain a better understanding of the challenges they face in the community as wheelchair users.
Livability are currently fundraising for a number of projects however they are desperately trying to raise funds for a new mini bus to transport residents. If you would like to help in any way with the fundraising, please contact Louis Chan-Kee, Service Manager""
