Victoria
Ray Davy, known by many for his work at Southend United and the Roots Hall Market, is a stalwart and extremely hard working person.
Ray is active in many voluntary and charitable bodies including the Southend Carnival Association and the Southend Citizens Advice Bureau.
If elected he would bring real hope for Victoria. He would be tenacious in speaking up for residents and in getting improvements for them.
Ray has worked tirelessly in Victoria and has spoken to many residents. Early on in the campaign there was an indication of his ‘product recognition’ as he has been asked by several people on the doorstep if he is your local councillor, to which the only response can be: ‘Not at the moment, but with your help and support I could be after 5 May!’

Peter has a ‘Six Point Plan for Thorpe’
To improve the quality of life in your street for residents and their families
Help support the work of local residents associations and community groups
Offer to work with the two other councillors as a team, regardless of politics
Refuse to be drawn into negative campaigning and focus entirely on serving the Thorpe community
Promote Thorpe as the best ward in the borough
Ensure that residents’ needs are heard and understood when tough budget decisions are being made
Peter is both proactive and responsive to the issues that matter to residents. Working with, supporting and encouraging local resident groups is crucial in the role of a councillor, and Peter has many years experience in supporting community groups to achieve their potential.
