James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, today presented his donation to Peacful Place.
Every year, since 2005, James has sent over 1,000 Christmas cards and with that comes a huge financial cost. James decided instead of sending Christmas cards, this year he will make a donation to a local charity, determined by the constituents of Rochford and Southend East.
There was an overwhelming response and a variety of different charities were suggested. Each charity is a deserving cause, helping the most vulnerable in our society. However, it was the charity with the most nominations that were presented with a personal donation of £250
James said
“I am delighted to present my donation to Peaceful Place. I received a large number of nominations from constituents and I would like to thank everyone who took part.”
